Norway Roadtrip, last week in July

Well, its all confirmed, the car comes next Tuesday and I have delegated work between the slaves. I will be going to Norway for my annual dose of fresh air!. If anyone else is out there playing it would be great to start putting faces to the names!

Packing for the trip!, we leave tomorrow and will be mostly in the Jotunheimen region over the next week doing Kayak, white water, Ice Climbing on the Glaciers and some regular hill walking... if anyone fancies tagging along dont hesitate to drop a line and we can try to sort out a meet?

I have done Norway a few times now, but as always, any routes, sights or good camp locations are more than welcome!

I love that type of scenery, what took your fancy to make you move?

I live in Sweden, but I go to Norway at least once a year to relax, put up the tent and do some climbing.

It was all in the name of love!

LRswe you certainly can take a grand snap - that lake boat shoot is very well crafted. Thumbs Up

Very nice picture!

We occasionally do a Tour De Lapland driving-campig-hiking trip (Fin-Swe-Nor) for a few weeks in the fall time... those pics make me want to do it this year too Smile

Sorry LRswe for slipping in my pics but as we're talking Scandinavia here I thought I'd quietly throw in a couple of shots of our Fjords cruise in 2010 Thumbs Up
Wow, what a country for scenery, lucky you. Thumbs Up

@npinks, Nick they now cruise from Hull if you ever fancy it, not big floating city's but about 800 passenger size.

Nice pics EY - it is no wonder that her Ladyship occasionally harks back to the time that she lived and worked in Norway. Whilst Swizerland has its alps and lakes the majesty of the Norwegen vista takes the gold medal in my opinion. Fantastic motorcycling landscapes Thumbs Up

Thanks athelstan Smile
I can understand her enthusiasm with the country, the little I saw of it was fantastic.

I have to agree with you both. I religiously take at least one holiday a year to Norway. If you avoid hotels, suddenly the holiday is very cheap!, fuel is not much worse than it is back in the UK, however, beer and eating out will have you washing dishes fast : )

There is a mountain for everyone, and many of the glaciers are a pretty mellow hike from windy, steep access roads that tourist busses and caravans just cant get up!

Well, I do it only in the Defender, it is a vehicle for adventure.

I admit that Freelander2 is the best car I've owned. LR Freelander2 2,2 Td4 HSE manuel Stornaway Grey (Metallic) & Ebony Black Leather & Sun/Moon-roof & Bi-Xenon & Roof Rails & Tow bar & Body side rubbing strips & Cold climate pack & Privacy glass & NavTeq . Production Date: 11/5-2007 in Halewood.

Sorry, but I have changed to Defender 90 ", and I love my" tractor ".
