Valley Dweller welcome. You need to get the car back to your supplying dealer and explain your problem. They a should give you a courtesy car for as long as they keep the car. Good luck. |

thanks for the input both. Bigalf, after further consideration my symptoms are identical to your i.e. in the rev range you mention. It always starts and idles ok, but gently raising the revs in neutral to about 1800 rpm results in spluttering/shuddering/missing which is so rough it feels like the engine feels like its rocking back and forth on its mountings. Once you get above 2000 rpm all is normal. If you move off in gear you are just grinding your teeth waiting for the inevitable violent lurch.

you should have a plastic card same size as a credit card in you service/instruction book since i last spoke to you i have been contacted by the dealer saying tha he has to change some type of engine modulator as they have had this on another vehicle as well its going into night for 2nd service and to have this done i will keep you posted rainy-city
