I'm having a problem with receiving Satnav RDS-TMC info on my HSE regardless of where I am in the country.

On the map screen I get TMC with the red line through it. I've checked the Navigation setup\RDS-TMC settings and everything looks to be set correctly except for the station. Regardless of settings, country, auto/manual etc. it always shows as No TMC Station even after repeatedly pressing Change.

I understand that it assumes free TMC info is broadcast via Classic FM so i checked and I can tune the radio to Classic so i dont believe its a reception issue. However, the station shows up as Classic rather than Classic FM so is the SatNav looking for the old station name and I need to update the SatNav to the latest version (still running the original version from new in 2009)?

I've read the stories that Classic FM traffic info isn't that great but would at least like to get it working.

Any help is appreciated.

I really wouldn't worry the TMC data is so out if date the roadworks/accident/cow in road will have been fixed days before

Your correct it's classic fm though

Must admit I found the TMC pretty accurate, if it says there is traffic ahead it's touch and go if there is or not but if it says there is Heavy traffic ahead 99% of the time it is correct.

In the settings is the TMC actually switched on in the options
