As someone who generally hates most things sporty, I have found it quite addictive this time around. I only have the standard terrestrial TV coverage, which is heavily focused on the local athletes of course but it has been cool to watch many different sports being played out.

I've surprised myself by how much I've enjoyed it. From a personal point of view it's been nice to hear people who've done so well speak in my own accent (e.g Micheal Jamieson) rather than the often posh accents of many. I know it's daft but it's nice to see people from similar backgrounds do well rather than just those who come from money who can afford to list 'archery' are their profession.

Agreed. It will hopefully leave an excellent legacy and the paralympics should be good too.

I've enjoyed every minute of it. Have managed to get some ParalympicS athletics tickets so looking forward to that. Hopefully team gb will do well at these games as well. Wish I had 100th of the will power to achieve what some of our athletes have! |
