Hello,

I've noticed that when the car initially moves off after being started (whether it's a cold start at the beginning of the day or it's between trips during the day), I can hear a noise under that car that sounds like a cable being re-tensioned, or as an analogy ... a guitar string being plucked! And if I use the analogy of the guitar, it's only two or so plucks and then I don't hear it again until the next restart. Has anyone else noticed this, is it normal?

This sounds like the other post reference a noise from the door locks, but I think like taht one what you are hearing is the haldex adjusting itself as you move off for the first time.

There was a post a long time back where someone described what happens with the haldex when you first move off....can't remember where though.

Don't get any noises coming from under mine when I move off, except the doors locking.
Worth getting the stealer to take a look at it me thinks. ______________________
