United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Baltic Blue
Replacing my year old TD4 GS manual with an SD4 GS auto

Had my car for a year with multiple problems relating to clutch, and gearbox and others...... Dealer has agreed to get me out of the car and into a new one. They have worked out a very good deal, but but unsure if I'm making the right decision.

What are the main advantages I will see in your opinions? What do you think of the colour? From Bali blue to Baltic blue...

Thoughts please? Neutral 2012 DISCOVERY 4 GS AUTO ORKNEY GREY

If its a good deal bite their hand off ! this wasnt something i could ever get to change mine !
Prices started at 10K to change before a year old and 17.5K by year three with just 16K on the clock.

Auto is a dream to drive and you would wonder why you ever bothered with a manual. Thumbs Up

Fuel consumption is reduced locally but on long runs if driven with a light foot can be very good.
Just returned 42.7 over 320 miles on one trip and 37.7 on the return and there was lots of town work and appalling traffic and lots of overtaking required.

Sounds great, sounds like I will be happy with this.

Basically they are giving me enough to write the finance off by maxing the trade in and using 10% discount, and then a really good rate of finance.

No real loss on my part but increased monthly payments to cover the additional value, which is ok 2012 DISCOVERY 4 GS AUTO ORKNEY GREY

Shame about your problems, I remember you getting they car.
I think Baltic blue is much nicer IMHO, darker and not as purple tinged.

I have SD4 GS, been fantastic, get a TomTom Start 60 in the cubby hole, there's a thread on here with some details.

Thanks Paul, yes it was very exciting to buy one of these and the probs have tainted the experience a little.

Dealer assured me that my experience is not normal and wants to prove it. I think maybe baltic has a better resale-ability than bali, so may be better off from that view.

Thanks for the link. Been using TomTom iPhone on a holder in the cubby, but will take a look at this as well Smile

We went on an off road experience and it seemed like everything the auto could do off road the manual was finding just a touch more technical, so really looking forward to seeing how it manages in comparison.

Will post pics when it arrives on the 20th Wink
