Shame - we need both ends of the spectrum, most of us will go to the heights of new ownership, and possibly the depths of involving LR customer relations at some point. I for one don't just want to hear the good bits of LR ownership, my local dealership can give me that "balanced" view Wink

Nice to see the usuall balanced view from CG Mr. Green

I think you are missing the point about the "fun" way of setting off. I cannot reccomended it, Very Happy not saying many people do it, but if you do on a heavy powerful machine, damage is likely to result. So LR have impemented a control regeme that stops potential damage, if all the switches work well it is great, if they do not work perfectly it can leave you without power part way through a manoever, leaving you exposed to oncoming traffic. No, I think that would be the wrong thing to do. We're all rooting for you to get a good result and I for one am learning a lot from your experience.
If you still decide not to post further on this matter, then I still wish you the very best of luck with this whole sorry affair.

Don't stop posting ! we are all behind you. Just Dont let it eat you up.

I have had many people ask me why didn't I just buy a new one !when I had so much grief with mine ! well it was going to cost me another 17K when the car i had bought should of been fit for purpose. I guess you are at the same crossroads ! through no fault of your own its causing you stress, hassle and lots of money !

If a resolve had been concluded I may of been a happy chappy but L/R are experts with the bitter pill ! & couldnt give a s Censored t attitude.

Routing for you, good luck Thumbs Up

For all the members who asked to be kept informed Thumbs Up

The dealer has advised me the power loss/xmas tree lights has been cured by replacing the battery - I remain sceptical as it has supposedly been sorted by a software update and 2 faulty brake switches in the past but will be pleasantly surprised if it is correct Rolling Eyes

I am now just waiting for the scratches/shoddy bodywork repair to be sorted and my car will then be returned Evil or Very Mad

LRCS are still ignoring me Banging Head

I admire your patience with LR CS. I would have written to Which magazine, autocar, car mag, evo, topgear mag and every other publication to expose LR for their terrible customer service. I suspect they would suddenly have a change of heart.... (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc

(Gone) 2010 TD4 Manual GS - Stornoway Grey. Sold at 3yrs old & 64k miles. Final average consumption 39.2mpg.

Update

Collected my RRS this afternoon looking like new and dare I say it - running sweet Thumbs Up

Power loss/warning messages blamed on brake switch again but appears to be sorted on third attempt after the master technician personally dealt with it - not the battery after all Rolling Eyes

Still no word from LRCS so although I have seen a 12 plate Westminster, 4k miles with a whopping £20k saving off new price I don't think I dare overstretch myself Sad

Hey muddywheels,
Did you know Strat Censored stones are no more in Hull and Driffield Very Happy
Don't know the reason for it but 'Hatfields' now have the dealership although I'm sure the same people are working for them. It was the Service Manager and Dealer Manager that I fell out with in Hull so probably no change there.

Any knowledge of these dealers Question

EDIT: Just rang Hatfields in Hull and the receptionist says 'I'm new' Very Happy but everyone one else is ex Stra Censored tstones Evil or Very Mad even the managers.

Eyorkshire - Hatfields took over in the middle of my issues and I think that complicated things Sad

The dealer principle at Pickering is losing his job and seems like a realy nice guy so actually feel sorry for him Embarassed

Hull never returned calls or helped you when you went in so stopped dealing with them a few years ago Rolling Eyes

The Lr assist guy said Hatfields are family business and very good so fingers crossed Thumbs Up

Pb1008 - nothing selling at the moment and FFRR prices falling like a stone with the new model coming so might wait and see how it goes Bow down Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
