Rivnuts are easy, you can buy the proper setting tool or do it with a couple of spanners, couple of spanners worked for me.

Thanks for that, will give it a go. To be fair I HAVE read the thread but no-one actually describes how they worked without a specific tool. Unless of course I'm being a complete idiot and have missed it! Very possible! Cheers! HSE, td4 - Stornoway Grey - full alpaca interior - 2011 front facelift - privacy glass. Just added side steps, replaced the yellow side lights & body coloured handle and wing mirror covers. Now for the spoiler! |

Use a couple of Combition spanners, one to hold and the other to tighten |

Well I cut the sills, fitted the outside bolts etc but the rivnuts defeated me. Called A few places and Pentland LR offered to fit them the next day for £90. Took then an hour and a half, made me a coffee while I waited and I got a wander around the gorgeous showroom. Fantastic service.

I got mine fitted at cradocks in cannock, they had the genuine black side tubes for £90 and fitted them for £90, bargain!!! When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car |
