I fitted (diy) a Witter Tow Bar + Electrics from PF Jones easy fitting no problems.

I have a Witter detachable Swan neck, excellent product, great to be able to take it off when not in use FL2 HSE Sumatra black with body kit

Witter is good.

Make sure whoever installs it installs the proper 'official' JLR wiring loom. Costs a few quid more but worth it a) to avoid trouble in case of a warranty issue and b) it integrates properly with the LR2 electrics. Brian

Thanks all, been on the witter web site, looks like its gonna cost around the £550 mark a lot cheaper than lr's , Brian I will have a look at the price of lr wiring loom , cheers

PF Jones are charging £163.20 down from £408.00 (detatchable bar No. R41AQ), not sure about cost of electrics but had no problems with mine.

Are the eletrics plug and play or do you have to cut into the cars wiring, also we're is the connection made at the back or under the bonnet ? Was thinking of a car specific loom

I didn't fit it myself - merely observed from a distance

But it is just plug and play and it's all at the rear, under the boot floor on the left.

After fitting you'll need to get a JLR dealer to code it for towing (a 3 minute job, I got it free with a service) or otherwise the reversing sensors will activate when the van's on.

Mine was done by a local outfit for £465 last year. Brian

From a 1974 series III to a 12MY XS FL2 with help of a 1995 D1, 1996 D1, 2005 D3, 2007 D3 and a 2009 FL2.

PF Jones Witter with their electonics kit. DIY fit them of to the local indy for a software change to kill the rear fogs and reversing beepers - also kills the stop/start mode when electrics plugged in.
