Excellent news. Where's he going to be based? I did the same 20 something years previous* - I was one of 12 at Gaydon (Rover Group) - proves how time and investment changes for the better

Did you work alongside Peter Pocket by any chance? He came direct from Longbridge to deliver a replacement new Range Rover Vogue (Green) to my home in Derbyshire many moons ago, promptly followed within the space of 30mins by the supplying dealer of a courtesy RR (White) and, also the nearest local LR dealer Kennings with their courtesy RR (Green). Teamwork and communications were never a strong point of the BL Group in those days. So 3 RR Vogues cluttering up the farm's yard and my 2 month old stuck in the local dealer with four butterfly values bent in the space of those two months. In total I think from memory I spent more than one week in hours broken down on the roadside in those two months with this fault. In the end the reason for the bent butterfly values was put down to the supplying dealer fitting a none approved cruise control unit the shut/closed the carbs to violently resulting in bending the butterfly values. Still I got a new RR Vogue out of the experience. |

Impressive. Interested to know what photographs you have of the dealer principal and in what particularly comprising position! |
