Well LRCS are passing the buck to the dealer and not interested Sad

The dealer has offered a Westminster replacement for £800 more than I can buy one from broadspeed that they say they will make nothing on - so broadspeed must be subsidising them Whistle

Looks like best option is to get the RRS fixed and sell it Embarassed

I'm sorry muddywheels, not good eh.

Well i could of told you LRCS dont give a S Censored T but it does leave a real bad taste in your mouth ! I know, been there done that & I too have had landy's in the past even going back to the 70's with a series 2a in blue.

All I can say is there is plenty of choice out there & I'm beginning to think the Kia doesn't look too bad a deal with good offer of warranty & Caravan club are offering extra £2500 off !

The difficult bit is swallowing the badge but there again I'm beginning to think who's the mug ? we are for accepting such carp and putting up with it ! in either service or reliability !

Unfortunately your "contract" so to speak is with the dealer and/or finance company (if there is one) and not with the vehicle manufacturer. It has nothing to do with LR.

I know this as I have just been reading up on the consumer credit act in readiness in case the dealer doesn't replace my satnav screen under warranty. ______________________

Clarkson summed it up Whistle

The 2012 RRS loaner did the power loss on roundabout last night and nearly got T-boned Shocked

I have also found a guy with a D4 experiencing this Rolling Eyes

I have a fault with my new Landrover and the dealer Harwoods Croydon is not taking it seriously as they say it is my driving style. The car will sometimes not accelerate when stopping at junctions and the dealer says that it is caused by me. I think the problem is that if you brush the brake peddle or are too quick from one to the other the computer says no!!! If any one else is having this problem please email me and we can take it further. Gharris594@aol.com Glenn

The quick way to leave the lights in a FL2 auto is --- left foot on brake, hold engine at 1800rpm, when lights go "green" floor accelerator and simultaniously release the brakes.
Great fun I am sure Shocked but hard on the transmission.

Repeatedly do the same in a car half as heavy again and twice the power and something will go bang BIG style.
I seam to remember reading somewher that the RRS was deliberately setup to stop boy racers doing this.
i.e. accelerator pressed and brake switch not made = no go/no revs.

doesn't take much of a guess to see what would happen with a hair trigger brake switch, or incorrectly set up brake switch. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

I think the response from Andy has missed the point that some are making.
It is not a boy racer get away from the lights start, as the D4 can do that well if required. It is when coming to a junction seeing a clear spot to go, accelerating and getting nothing then when its a bit late whallop away it goes in the path of previously distant vehicle in a rage a fury and unwanted urgency. No doubt not helped when nothing happens and the pedal is pressed harder to try and make something happen.

This inbuilt design feature makes it dangerous.

As an aside, no need to hold a FL2 on the brakes if you have an i6 they go away from the lights really well if you want to be childish! Whistle

I would like to thank all the members who have posted support especially those who have contacted LRCS to express their feelings on my problems. I would have given up before now without you Bow down

I would like to apologise if I have spoiled anyone's enjoyment of the forum - this was not my intention in 2007 when I joined as an enthuisiast - as seen in my posts prior to June 2012 Embarassed

I think it is time I stopped posting as I appear to have lost my objectivity Sad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
