Don't forget the flies Vesko's trip is not trivial, it's well over 1000 miles to the Flinders from Sydney so it's not like it is something we can do that often either. Awesome pics Vesko. |

I can't quite pinpoint why your story-telling is so interesting Vesko, but it works wonders. I really wish you would plan your next adventure in Queensland where there are some amazing places still largely untouched and blessed with natural beauty.

Yeah good job Vesko. I enjoy your trips better than mine From now on I will stay home and tell you where to go then read about it instead. A little tip, I carry a baseball bat to beat off backpacker girls if they get too frisky. |

Thanks mate. Start saving for a sand flag, uhf radio and sat phone hire if you want to cross the Simmo. My sand flag sits up on the roof racks and I use a 5 watt hand held uhf with external aerial and microphone. If I want to go for a walk I unplug it and put it in my pocket. I bought an Inmarsatt satphone pro at the last camping expo in Sydney. The roads out of the desert near Dalhousie Springs have horrible tyre eating rocks on them that nearly ruined mine a few years ago. You will have no trouble with the rest of those places. Might I suggest you add the Old Ghan Railway from Mt Dare to Chambers Pillar as well on to your list in that area? Cheers. |
