Just returned from Holiday Ditched the van

well just had two weeks of sunshine in the Canaries great food, fuel was .83p ltr. £53.95 for 65 ltrs !
had to put 65 ltrs in the FR2 on way from airport and it was £90.35 !!!!!! ouch
Eating out was so cheap !
has our fuel prices at home really inflated the cost of everything at home by that much ! ?
The service in the restaurants was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble.

Great having a hire vehicle that lasted two weeks without a problem,
here's a little reminder of how things look when the sunshines although I have to say 46 one day was a bit extreme Very Happy

Trolling?

You have now posted on how cr@p your Freelander is in three threads already - this is seriously starting to smell of Troll.

well moondog
if you had had as much trouble as I have had with mine "AND" Landrover fail to recognise or repair it so that it actually doesn't breakdown or fail to start ! & its takes 3.5 years before L/R actually fix it properly then perhaps you would be some what pi Censored ed off !
I have 6 pages of A4 paper of all the faults and repairs going back to when it was purchased new. If L/R had been sympathetic or even helpful then it may of been different. FACT !
I have also had holidays 3 years running spoilt due to 14 faults on its first trip abroad & 3 on its second and 3 failures on its third holiday ! abroad ! when you have a family with children its not a laughing matter ! perhaps you should read ALL my posts before you spout off!
Landrover don't deserve positive comments after the way I was treated ! and how poor the reliability and service has been ! the whole experience has been appalling and the worst 4x4 by far !
So for me it was great to have a holiday without it spoilt by a Landrover ! for which "outtheoffice " can vouch for as not a pleasant experience, as he had similar issues with three major failures whilst in France !
so lets hope your brakes down miles from nowhere again and again and again and then see how complimentary you are about yours

Nice! I understand your frustration - been there before too, but seriously - to wish problems on someone else because you have a stick up............... ugh! stuff it, it's not worth it - I'm off on a great weekend with the family in my FL2 - and if I do run into problems, you know who I'll be coming after. Wink

I wish you the best of luck and hope that you enjoy the X-Trail forums.

But, there again, while our FL2 is (after 12 1/2 months and 42,000 miles) proving to be outstandingly reliable, the Company's new Nissan is proving to be the most troublesome vehicle we've ever had by a Country Mile, having been on the road for 11 weeks out of our 1 year of ownership (from new), with no return date in sight.

Funny old world, isn't it?

I won't be going onto any Nissan sites to report it time and time again though; life's too short. Rolling Eyes

My gaffer just had his £70K RRS 2nd service and they advised that the discs were worn but the pads still had about 20% on them (?), they have also f Censored d up his RRS as it now makes a deep groan from the front when pulling away. Ah it was lovely jumping back in my trouble free Freelander!
