LRCS have just informed me dealer principal is finishing today and no longer dealing with my problems Shocked

They seem more interested in selling me a new car than my grievances Rolling Eyes

Dealership are collecting my sick/shoddy repaired sport tomorrow and leaving me a Demonstrator but nobody can tell me what is happening after that. Apparently they have been unable to sort the problems with their vogue so I cant have it back - this does not bode well Sad

Been waiting over a week for details and photos of a 2011 vogue in group that may be suitable subject to figures but still received nothing Evil or Very Mad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Big Cry

Why can't you tow your twin axle tintent with a FL2?

My SD4 XS has a mass in service of 1987 Kg, and given that twin axle caravans are more stable than single axle versions, you could tow up to the 2000 Kg limit with safety. Now: 2012 FL2 SD4 XS Orkney Grey

Whattowcar.com shows match 96% for FL2 with a cyclone, exceeds advised tow hitch weight and would be worried about reliability with such a strain on vehicle Sad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Problem with some of these towing match websites is that they do not always have full information in their databases. Which model of FL2 are they quoting? As I said my FL2 has a stated Mass in service on the V5C as 1987 Kg. I am guessing that your caravan will have a laden weight of around 1800 Kg.

I have just returned from a trip to the Netherlands towing 1800 Kg of boat (including trailer). The car really did not know that it was pulling anything, it was so effortless.

I have downsized from a D3 and have not regretted it. The SD4 has almost the same HP as my old D3 and is much livelier.

Even the Caravan Club concede that you can tow up to 100% of the kerb weight in the right circumstances. As I mentioned before a twin axle van is more stable than a single axle. Now: 2012 FL2 SD4 XS Orkney Grey

oh sorry to hear its not going so well. I'm very surprised they didn't repair it 100% and make sure there were no issues before return! once again that's a very poor dealership.
as I mentioned before if we ever damaged a customers car at the garage we made sure it was 110% and got them to come and inspect to make sure they were entirely happy before we handed it over!
i must say with having had couple of weeks in Spain where there economy is struggling and they want business everyone appeared extremely attentive ! something that the UK appears to overlook when it comes to customer service !.
2k offer is insulting and that what L/R offered me off a brand-new one if i swapped my piece of junk in ! more miffed than ever after that.
Its sad that it really takes the edge of of owning a car !

BTW my FR2 auto tows my twin axle 8 mtr van a treat now that the car actually works, much better now the auto box finally selects 1st gear to pull away ! and doesn't go into reduced power mode everyday !
lets hope you can get a resolve

Name and shame the dealer I say, take it to Ripon next time, The guy I spoke to today regarding his watch has used Ripon for his last three cars despite it being 60 miles away from him. he says the difference is customer care is astounding.
Maybe because Ripon LR is a local family owned and run firm rather that a vast chain, yet are big enough to have all the services and back up required At work

I got offered 1.5k off a new freelander gs, so 2k off a RR is pathetic. I thought with the new model out soon they would be a little more generous with the discounts. Add that to all the hassle and inconvenience I would be looking for an unbelievably good offer. (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc
(Going) 2013 TD4 GS Auto - Santorini Black with black leather. Cold Climate, UK Lighting & Armrest Packs. Privacy Glass. LR Rubber Mats. Full size spare.
60 000 miles averaging 35mpg

(Gone) 2010 TD4 Manual GS - Stornoway Grey. Sold at 3yrs old & 64k miles. Final average consumption 39.2mpg.
