Run the car with the air con switched on and the heating up full for about 20 minutes, this will kill off the bacteria that builds up on the unit when not used. Then turn the air con to its lowest temperature for about 10- 15 minutes.

Changing the pollen filter can sometimes help, as the little blighters like to hide and breed in there.... |

MY air con was smelling so I bought a can of Dettol Neutra Air air freshner 'Kills odour causing bacteria at the source' it says on the can. Got a small length of tube, placed one end of the tube in the centre open dash vents and the other end over the Dettol can nozzle and give it a good lengthy squirt. Done this a couple of times and no more nasty smells. Does the same job as most similar products on the market. |
