Not my sort of thing, but interested how it would look if you see it in person and how it looks in the total look of the car.

The RRS HST models have plenty of bling on them and seem to get away with it, so can the FL2?

My local dealer had a 2008 FL2 in the showroom which was fitted with the sports styling (HST-panels) and 19inch chrome shadow alloys which although looked pretty flash, to be honest would not suit my lifestyle. However in addition it had external door handles in a colour that matched the wheels/replaced grill - tungsten/titanian colour which I thought looked pretty smart.

I have seen the chrome handle covers (that npinks mentioned) for sale on ebay, but has anybody any idea where the tungsten/titanian colour type can be got

Just noticed that the tungsten door handles are part of the Premiun Pack for 2008 models in Norway.

i presume if LR are doing titanium look handles you should be able to get the part number and order some and stick them on with the double sided sticky tape they use

I suspect Tungsten & Titanium are different tones of chrome plating. To get a colour match on chrome is recognised by sad gits to be more more difficult than matching that F*** red after 5 years of UV assault. The day of the month can affect it.
So if you bling merchants want at least a passing resemblance to tonal/colour balance in the shiney stuff buy it all from the source at a specified 'colour'. Remember, chromed refers to the process that deposited different layers of metal onto a substrate not the finished effect ie colour, tone or gloss level.
For those of you with environmental pretensions, once plastic is plated it cannot be re-cycled, its straight to land fill. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit
