they need a fishing boat, dropping a few pasties and waste food off the back, lure them out to sea and give them all both barrels of a 12bore

Seagulls are a nuisance and are scavengers but its not exactly their fault when holidaymakers and locals discard food wherever, feed the birds whenever. In fact it is us that caused the problem because we taught them that there are easy pickings onshore rather than there natural habitat offshore.

i agree, wasted food and even people holding a chip aloft for them as a party trick has all contributed towards the situation, but it still doesn't mean something should not be done about it, especially when they fly in and hit people in their face.

I can't think of an answer to it, they are more brazen than ever, it's like a new generation of 'Taliban' seagulls where they look upon us as a target if food is available.

a cull of all adult might leave the youngster fishing the shore line not the piers and public places as there will be no one to teach them to pinch food, clearing out the local nest or something might help too |

There are more seagulls live in land than at sea now, due to being more easy access to food. Gloucester has a major problem with them, it's a no go for your pride and joy unless you want it shat on!! It's like cement |
