Well with Dunroof's permission as I don't want to fall foul of "C"HQ Leeds re regulation: "Spoiling a Thread"Whistle

Pleased to say IT techies have mastered their own fallibility and pixs on screen now and her Ladyship has calmed down. Taz it was not the fault of the Xray kit, it was the software that IT chaps installed across the whole business platform - not handshaking they said. Incompetence I say.

Unfortunately there are no vacancies - the first one may occur in approximately 9 or 10yrs when K's partner (30yrs established local Doc "Ernst" from whose germ of an idea this enterprise has become) will retire and K will then have to look for a replacement. Or, if someone leaves prematurely on the grounds of being unable to cope with K's short fuse, or alternatively she's driven Enrst to an earlier retirement on the same grounds Rolling Eyes

Presently there are in addition to K and E seven other fully qualified medical staff which includes two on the dental side. With assistants the whole team is 17 strong. Eight on the medical team, five in the dental practise and 4 in physiotherapy and dietician. In a nut shell there's 4 classical medical consulting rooms plus one homeopathy (witch) doctor's room, an Xray room, laboratory and pharmacy. There's 4 dental treatment rooms, an exercise gym, and a massage clinic. All supported by a reception/waiting area and business administration office.

Finally there's my favourite part - the ambulance dock. This is in fact where the goods trains' used to enter the mill to bring raw materials and take away finished woven cloth. This area has been converted to allow an ambulance to enter right into the heart of the facility on the first floor and for its patient to enter or leave unobserved by the general public.

It has taken 9 mths since the design n build was approved by the authorities to convert one wing of an old defunct spinning mill into the most modern medical practise in the whole of our Kantone. The patient facilities can only be bettered by the main hospital here. In fact the local newspaper have label the practise as a "mini hospital" which it is not - there's no overnight stays! And we don't have a CT or MRI and never will have out of our own pockets, or therapy pool - yet.........

There will be an official "open day" in September after (K & E hope) that all the systems and staff have settled down and are in complete harmony. Given some of the character's in there that autumn date may be wishful thinking.

I don't see why people living in one country look at anothers and compare prices,

If the truth were known Mr Pinks I sure that you have done price comparisons when on holiday in foreign fields checking out the price of the local camera, computer, multi media, cars, etc etc. Wink

Just to be clear - VAT on cars here in CH is 8%. VAT in the UK 20%. Our prices here are driven by the greed of the distributor based on what it thinks is the product's competitive price level. I have heard from LR dealers that they think that LRJ models are between 12 to 15% "too rich". The distributor is the fat cat here and his bowl is overflowing with full fat cream.

When i am on holiday i don't get out the Currency Exchange App powered up and running, if i want a drink i buy it, if i want a blow up crocodile i buy it

if i did power it up, I'd be thirsty, have nothing for the pool and not enjoy myself Laughing

To be honest I wouldn't have a €40 North Face Hat also, which in hindsight was a little bit too much to spend Confused , but it does have little slits for the sunglasses to go though in front of each ear which a quite cool Bow down
