Mine is now 16 months old with 21,000 miles and no problems, EGR's can stick due to carbon and maybe this is a case for 2 stroke oil Exclamation
On saying that I don't use it.

I doubt that replacing the EGR valve would be regarded as a quick fix - I gather its a Censored to replace Cheers,

What is your car doing?
Lloyd is same age as Iain Cooper's FL2 and has done 22K- no probs with EGR valve.

Mine to, 11-1700 RPM, not all the time though,

speaking with my dealer, he said he has never known a EGR on a freelander go, which can't be said for the D3/RRS etc

Your symptoms sounds like mine and it was a leak in the turbo manifold so was losing pressure and requiring more accelerating etc

Interesting this. My 2011 MY SD4 has 13.5K on it. Just recently I've noticed a faint misfire - or what feels like a misfire - whilst the car is cruising, i.e no heavy throttle load, just bumbling along at an indicated 2000 rpm. Could this be related to the EGR? I've already had DPF issues, but in that case it just dropped to limp mode, so pretty sure its not that. There are no warning lights coming on, but it just doesn't fill me with confidence.

I agree, my confidence is not inspired with this,

If you have the need ( and anyone else who want to ) can pop around and use my OBDC thingy free of charge to see if any codes have been stored.....

Just PM me.

Any tips on diagnosing turbo leak?

Always nice to go to the stealers with some facts beforehand.....

i think there was a code for the difference in pressure, the first time, the second time (a month later) there was a whistle (think they might not have go a good seal the first time
