dont be silly , that would put the kids in the rear crumple zone, might as well sit them on the bonnet At work

If it does happen then I think you'll totally lose the boot space, as the seats will have to go somewhere, so we're does the spare wheel go, or do you lose that option totally and get the can of gunk and pump Question

Rumoured previously, like most things we're just going to have to wait and see

As Npinks said been rumoured for many years Thumbs Up

http://www.lro.com/news.php?sid=169&page=1

I bought disco's in the past for the 7 seat option but even with those you did lose the boot - not so bad on the newer ones now Bow down

7 seater cars worry me after Clarkson pointed out how close a child's head is to the back window if you get hit from behind but I guess the higher you are the safer Shocked Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

height is largely irrelevant if you get hit by a low car the energy will be transfered upward straight up the rear passengers spines, best solution, dont sit people in the boot At work

Many years ago we had a brand new (2week old) Sierra estate.
Coming home from the kids rugby we put a couple of friends in the rear so my kids went in the boot.
We were stationary on the motorway when the numpty in the Ford Orion doing well in excess of 70mph ran into the back of us - he was still holding the phone when we dragged him out of the wreckage

The the doors on the Sierra buckled and were a right pig to open - the rear passenger compartment took the worst of the deformation, shortening by several inches. The kids in the boot were fine as the tow bracket had added substantially to the stiffness of the boot floor.

Needless to say SWMBO will no longer let anyone ride in the boot, we were lucky once, can't garantee being that lucky twice. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

How daft we were back then, my kids would be running all over the back seat unbelted, squeezing themselves onto the parcel shelf of a VW beetle making gestures at drivers behind Shocked
Unthinkable today. Thumbs Up

My Dad had a Volvo Amazon Estate and used to put the seats down so we could sleep in the back when we went long journeys such as holidays Embarassed

Jaguar Land Rover have about 40 major model upgrades and facelifts planned for release in the next 5 years thanks to significant investment from Tata.
As mentioned a 7 seat Freelander, known I believe as Ventura, was considered back in 2008 but not developed further as they were concentrating on Evoque at the time. Could be back on the cards as could other 7 seat models.

how the hell would they get two more seats in lol, the boot space is already alot higher than the floor of the rear seats! Maybe its just seats for very small people unless they go upwards like the disco ? if you want 7 seats get a disco Question When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car
