Man overboard?

I could have sworn that there was a new post here by Athelstan but both it and he seem to have disappeared. Are you out there somewhere? John

No not yet - but there is a contract out on me issued by ruffians Kent way, approved in C HQ Leeds, and the dead horse's head shipped overnight from Brighton as a final warning. Still my charitable works must go on Smile

Nice one athelstan Thumbs Up your post prompted me to remind myself to donate my unused LR Experience voucher I won at the Clay Shoot to the Mr Crabtree's charity at Sunday's meet.

Good man EY. Thumbs Up

If it wasn't for the fact I'm in these mountains I'd let Mr Crabtree have some more stuff to add to the front bumper I've already donated. Will be visiting Blighty in the autumn and that might present the opportunity to bring some small stuff over - got some Ducati parts that might raise a few bob.

Pleased to see you are still upholding your Korowai traditions EY even though you've moved to the other side of Hull.

Athelstan,
You can bring back something nice for me from my favourite shop in Switzerland. That being Bucherer.
How I love those shops, you feel really special with a nice auto watch bought from them.
Normally I hate shops, but Bucherer display some fine engineering in timepieces. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Reading the note attached on the dead horse's head that arrived the other morning re "the rules of posting" I ought to report you to C HQ Leeds for "spoiling" JST's thread, in the same manner an uncharitable desperado from Kent determined I'd besmirched his picknick - but I won't. You see I'm not a spoilsport - I'm a jolly decent helpful chap - and not overboard - yet Whistle

So Pegleg I congratulate you in identifying one of the many excellent purveyors of horology here in CH.
Note: to avoid any misunderstanding (for example in a recent F/S thread) that's here in Switzerland, but of course you are at liberty to take CH as Charitable Helping. Wink

Now you must display the very same excellent ability and choose a horologe (my preferred horologist is IWC) and once you have identified a particular model then I'd be happy to facilitate the purchase and delivery to Blighty on advantageous terms. Thumbs Up

Yours, amenable as always, Athelstan. Rolling Eyes

when I travel to our solvents tank farm in Birmensdorf the first stop I make after leaving Zurich station is the IWC shop on Bahnhofstrasse, to press my nose up against the window and leave grubby marks and wonder how much Swiss bankers blow in there on bonus day, my 30 year old scratched battered and banged classic GMT Master would not even get me through the tradesmans entrance Big Cry 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
