I am away to play gardener on my newly acquired 1/3 acre extra garden. Could do with knowing a bit about apple trees and why the fruit splits. Told its to do with water, but not much I can do about that.

Luckily, you have an ex apple farmer here : )

The splitting fruit is from uneven watering.. prolonged periods of dryness... then lots of rain! : ) How old are the trees and what soil do you have Smile ?

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

If you think the RR is an amazing car, I suggest you try out the new Jag XJ...I've been driving the boss's all over yesterday, did about 350 miles of motorway, city (straight through the middle of London) and twisties in Warwickshire. Same 3 litre V6 from the Disco 4/RRS and it was astounding. It was the long wheelbase version but the ride and comfort was impeccable, the handling excellent, and dare I say it, it was a nicer drive than the 7 Series!

I would seriously consider one of these if I was older and thinking about a Range rover. And it was showing 37 mpg when I gave it back, and I wasn't hanging around on the motorway or twisty roads Very Happy Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Personally speaking, and having experience of all three, the D4 is sooooo much better than the D3 or FL2 in every way.

The next one to add to the family will be a FFRR, as I like the sound and power of the TDV8 and have always wanted one, plus its better on fuel than the D4 and is on a par with the FL2 for fuel economy Very Happy ______________________
