I fitted my colour coded door handles today. These are not the stick on covers but the complete handles. I found them on fleabay for the princely sum of £20 (brand new and in LR packaging) and had them painted by my local bodyshop (they were Tonga Green). Simple to fit apart from the end caps can be awkward to remove. IMHO they add a bit of class to the car. Why can't LR fit colour coded handles instead of grey plastic?

Thanks toeknee Have to admit I'm letting the bodyshop fit the ar$epiece... SWMBO wasn't too keen on me taking the drill to the tailgate!! 2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles. Take a big hammer, set about the chrome arse piece until it is in a 1000 small pieces, sweep up, job done.

Agree, RegG! I got the dealer to replace the one-piece black cheap and nasty ones on my GS with a LR kit already painted in lovely Stornoway Grey before I took delivery as you don't even get the Titanium ones you had on your HSE. It looks much better and I then went on to add the matching colour coded mirror caps (easy) and headlamp washer caps (bit of a ball ache) to get the SD4 look. Well worth it in my humble opinion. |

I had the headlamp washer caps and the grille surround sprayed (pics in my gallery) when the facelift front end was painted. I'm more than happy with it. Mirror caps could be the next mod but it seems Biscay Blue was only used for a short time (exclusive colour!) and colour coded items not available easily off the shelf. Still, my local guy does an excellent job and is not expensive. 2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles.
