the gimicky engine start/stop econmy thing wasnt working though - poss due to low battery. that will get sorted

This is not a gimmick at all; it serves the absolutely vital role of fooling the official MPG /CO2 tests into reporting better figures than the car deserves!! We benefit in terms of lower tax rates, but don't expect it to achieve anything else in real life Rolling Eyes

Mine does an intergalactic mileage and the battery is never short of charge, but the system hardly ever kicks in - I often turn the engine off myself when I'm in traffic.

well, found a 2010 GS TD4-e at MJfews - 30k miles and did the deal.

we have the car but havnt paid for it yet Shocked :- thats service !!!

the fact that we had a big crash in the D3 in france and came away un injured accelerated the process. MrsDiscoDunc didnt want the drive the toyota Aygo anymore !!

as the D3 is trashed and im still waiting for the D4 to be delivered from Fews, ive been using the FL and i am very impressed Thumbs Up

its returning 37mpg (according to computer) and the driving environment it is very familiar and relaxing Thumbs Up

D4 arrives tomorrow so will be passing the keys to MrsDiscodunc to tootle to the shops etc Wink
