Agreed, aslong as the dealer shows that he cares then let him off the hook, I dont doubt he will give you a healthy discount and make your car good again. then if you part amicabily he will treat you well in the future too.

If it's St es of Pickering then take an Uzi and machine gun all their windows, kick all the doors in and 'c p in the entrance but if its your fav dealer then keep a good relationship.

I'm with the people saying it's an accident on this one...they are giving you a hell of a car for however long it takes, (mine tried giving me a fiesta for 2 weeks in the middle of winter when our steering rack needed replacing, my immediate F*ck off reaction made them change their mid!) You could try a tank of fuel, but something no one has mentioned, is ask for the paperwork of what has been repaired/fixed (if they don't give it to you). I'm sure you keep invoices for services/repairs if they are instigated by you!

Done over 100 miles yesterday in the vogue loaner - 3 trips mix of city and rural using paddle shift and cruise - averaged 31.4 mpg - way better than my 3.0 V6 sport

Dealer is offering to repair vehicle and look at a goodwill gesture such as a warranty. I could let them do work or pass the matter to my insurer (Privilege) who would have independent inspection and repair done then recover all costs from Dealer
