Agreed, aslong as the dealer shows that he cares then let him off the hook, I dont doubt he will give you a healthy discount and make your car good again. then if you part amicabily he will treat you well in the future too.

Hammer him for compensation and he will remember and his turn will come eventually.

If it's St Censored es of Pickering then take an Uzi and machine gun all their windows, kick all the doors in and 'c Censored p in the entrance but if its your fav dealer then keep a good relationship. Thumbs Up
There's too much 'americanised' suing and compensation twaddle in this country instead of common sense accepting that accidents do happen, and if joint dialogue takes it to an amicable solution then its the best way forward. Thumbs Up

I'm with the people saying it's an accident on this one...they are giving you a hell of a car for however long it takes, (mine tried giving me a fiesta for 2 weeks in the middle of winter when our steering rack needed replacing, my immediate F*ck off reaction made them change their mid!) You could try a tank of fuel, but something no one has mentioned, is ask for the paperwork of what has been repaired/fixed (if they don't give it to you). I'm sure you keep invoices for services/repairs if they are instigated by you!

If they're a decent dealership they'll look after you. Thumbs Up Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Done over 100 miles yesterday in the vogue loaner - 3 trips mix of city and rural using paddle shift and cruise - averaged 31.4 mpg - way better than my 3.0 V6 sport Shocked

Pretty impressed with the V8 and 8 speed auto Bow down

Rolls more than the sport but nicer ride Neutral

Have to say if they will swap my damaged sport for a TDV8 Vogue I would be tempted Thumbs Up Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Dealer is offering to repair vehicle and look at a goodwill gesture such as a warranty. I could let them do work or pass the matter to my insurer (Privilege) who would have independent inspection and repair done then recover all costs from Dealer Confused

Dealer is willing to look at a deal on vehicle swap after repair but no figures mentioned at this stage so a bit in the dark Rolling Eyes

Interested to know what fellow members would do in my position Bow down Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

your clearly not liking the RRS experience and your liking the FFRR

if money is there for a swap do it, no point in been unhappy with a car

If i had the money i would have swapped, as the FL2 has just become another car feeling to me, so looking like a wait till next year at least now, could swap sooner, but to a older version of what i want.

RRS Thud

Was planning to keep RRS for 5 years when I bought it but in view of all the issues don't think I can keep it past warranty Big Cry

I just replaced my 5 year old Day to Day FL1 with a mini so not really in a position to spend more money at the moment Evil or Very Mad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
