Door edge protector things

Whilst on a family holiday in Scotland 2 weeks ago, my dad was on driving duties in the FL2 as I had been drinking and when he got out of the car, the wind blew the door out of his hand and it smacked into the wall.

It has chipped the paintwork on the edge of the door so I am ordering some touch up paint from Duckworths. Have any of you guys bothered with those plastic door edge protector things? I have seen them fitted to some cars but not sure how much they cost and to be honest, not sure if I would like the look Confused

Any thoughts? LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Tonga Green

I bought a clear strip from halfrauds which you cut to length and it can be put down the entire edge of the door. Will be on display at the upcoming chicken run gathering Very Happy

It comes as a roll with some double sided tape - but I had to fasten it on with cold melt glue. Thumbs Up 2002 Honda VFR800
