I'm looking into getting a "Griffin CinemaSeat for iPad" for my little boys car journeys.

It hangs from the headrest, but I also notice someone had used a shoe lace and strung through the top of the CinemaSeat. Then tied each end of the shoe lace to opposite head rests if you wish it to be viewed in the middle. You can even plug it into the AUX socket but I guess listening to just the sound whilst driving would be annoying.

I have speakers built in to the child seat which I'll use. I'll then buy some good headphones for when he's older.

Wilhelm Tell's 4th cousin left of Hedi's Grandpa's 7th nephew crossbowed my Apple and I swallowed the right 'arf.

So thank you's are in order to all for their inputs via usb, thunderwire and warts n all, plus especially to JST for his moral support, and AiiEEX for that excellent "Griffin CinemaSeat" - looks just the job.

Now I cannot see anyway out of this and so in the morning I'll accept the offer of the iPad3 and when it arrives tell her Ladyship that "yes dear I'll have it up n running soon playing yours n daughter's fab flicks". And then probably bury my head in a pint when I miserably fail.

So keep them tips n tricks rolling in - they may save my honour at the eleventh hour

After you get the iPad, suggest you get a Mac Air, its good to use when you need to recharge one or the other.

Her Ladyship already has a 13" MacBook Air plus the top greyhound inside racing around etc etc., since last September. I have to make do with my 2001 vintage iBook. Compared to her elan slim jim my laptop's a turtle about to go belly up. And I keep postponing the iMAC for my study as there's simply no space in here (too many books n files) and her Ladyship told me that I have to wait until the new house gets built (bigger study) to instal an iMAC.

I own a Griffin CinemaSeat for iPad an it works quite well. My little Belkin cigarette charger works with both ipad 2 and iphone 4.

Dont forget that you could probably use the ipad to display realtime data from one of these OBD II bluetooth dongle things while you are driving along : )

Well I ordered a CinemaSeat thingy today in black to match my interior, together with some extra cabling to connect the iPad to the speakers in the baby seat.

BTW: I recently put in 16GB of RAM into my i7 model iMac... let's just say that it's really FAST now, so I recommend anyone to upgrade theirs if they can.

Now, off I go in search for a Belkin USB charger
