Sutton Bank is banned for caravans, but not for ordinary trailers - been up and down it a few times with the four wheeler behind a Sherpa with no problem. The weirdest thing is the attitude of ordinary car drivers: twice recently I've had to follow cars up the bank doing 10-20mph all the way. Maybe going up hills should be part of the driving test?

easiest way to drive sutton bank is to be quite aggressive. I used to go up it on a 50cc moped there is a layby half way up a good stop to allow the bike to cool a little.

Its not uncommon for hgvs to fail to take the bank and have to reverse a long way in order to turn round, easily watched from the top of the bank At work
