wheres the prickly mat infront of the 'missing' satnav screen? That was great for getting bogeys out from under your nails.

I think it's blank due to the car being powered down at the time. Instrument panel dial (just visible) looks like its at rest as well.
Photos seem to confirm rumours I'd heard of minor external cosmetic change and significant upgrade to BCM to bring Freelander more into line with the rest of the range.

Could be a change for the auto underneath.
Rumour is that the stick shift will be returning for those vehicles currently fitted with the elevating dial.

Yes!! New d4 has it. It's a safer way of driving, keep your hands on the wheel and POWER through the bends

Apart from Freelander and Defender all LR/RR vehicles have paddles. I suspect Freelander 2 will join the club before too long.

They're a step too far...the XF we have at work has them and they just get in the way all the time and I've used them 3 times in 2 months. Auto's do the changing themselves, baring in mind LR's promote relaxed driving this is slightly contradictory. The argument for them being safer is rubbish...are you seriously saying you drive so close to the limit you have to change gear as you clip an apex? Also the LR auto is good enough not to need the manual over ride 95% of the time.

My opinion obviously but I won't be shelling out on a Land Rover in the middle of an identity crisis! Rolling Eyes Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Yes I generally do, drive every journey as if it's your last! We are just following the times, hopefully it will have tv tuner in it as well!

I don't know what I'll think I've never driven a car with paddles

But I heard rumours that LR are going back to a lever instead of the pop up gear dial and I think with that the paddles will go
