Developed a Squeak

When i start my car in this hot weather, and apply a few revs I get a squeak,

Not sure if its a belt as i can't rev and have my head under the bonnet at the same time

It seams to disappear after a few seconds of actually driving

dodgy ankle ? When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car

Its unlikely to be the belt unless there is oil on it causing it to slip. the belt is kept under constant tension via a spring loaded roller.
More likley to be a pully bearing or at worst the water pump its self. Keep an eye on it as with all bearings as they tend to get worse over time. Watch for any water leaks under the car that you didnt have before and check the coolant tank more often just in case. Thumbs Up

Just ponder on the purchase at moment, as well as other options, but quite fancy the idea of target shooting and it's something I can do with my son, till his old/mature enough to shoot a shotgun

I had a squeak underbonnet ealier this year.
It dissapeared when i switched the aircon off
Turned out be the compressor, hope you ain't ggt the same problem.
Dealer said they'd never replaced one before on FL2.
But as we all know,
white man often speak with forked tongue.

Also, try switching on big electrial loads such as HFS and HRW when you hear the squeak and see if it makes any difference. If so, could be alternator related. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Only seems to squeak when I press the gas peddle, so I'll try to see what happens with less and more load too Thumbs Up

Try also switching the aircon on and off to se if that affects the squeak. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
