England 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Buckingham Blue
engine misfire?

Had a strange one last week, started up in normal way, but engine sounded very load and as if only 1 or 2 cylinders were firing, I stopped the engine restarted and it was fine . Anyonne any ideas Question 2012 MY TD4 SX Manual in very rare Buckingham Blue!

2011 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Lago Grey

Hi, I've had that..engine sounded like a bag of bolts. Switched off immediately , gave it a minute and satrted again--no problem and it has never done it since!

It may be a one off--hopefully!

Thanks for the answers, I hope its not glow plugs as its only 5 months old! Ill wait for a reoccurance before doing anything. 2012 MY TD4 SX Manual in very rare Buckingham Blue!

I doubt if its glowplugs - they shouldn't kick in unless the weather is ultra cold Cheers,
