My V5 also shows 1967Kg as 'Mass in Service' which may include the driver and a full tank of juice Exclamation after all the car will never be without the driver when moving.
Is 'kerbweight' redundant now Question

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Santorini Black

thanks for the comments guys. On the basis the real kerb weight seems to be around 1950kgs, thats plenty for us anyway.

we've got a long single axle van (25ft) so best we keep to a sensible ratio i think.

the only problem i foresee with the FL2, being the boot space is smaller than ideal for all the clobber - i like to keep the awning in the boot (supplying a bit more mass in the car too). perhaps we'll look at a roof box for the awning canvas - which is also handy when it gets wet too. (presume there is a weight limit on the roof rails too).

does anyone know when the next MY model detail will be released and when it occurs? don't want to order to early, but aware 4/6months is typical factory delivery times.

looking forward to getting a FL2 back in the family - especially with someone else picking the maintenance cost up Smile 2010 LR Freelander2 XS TD4_e Manual - Santorini Black (family car for the misses)

England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

2011 MY was announced in Jun/Jul 10 and available from Sep 10. 2012 MY was not released until about Nov 11. Some hints about the 2013 MY changes have been published on here already and I would suspect (but nothing more than that) that details will probably be released in time for an introduction in Sep 12 but could be a couple of months later.

If you ask the Dealer directly he may be able to tell you when the embargo on releasing information about the new MY is going to be lifted. Dealers usually have the information in advance of release to the public.

The roof rails are rated at 75Kg. I use a roof basket which will hold the awning and poles, plastic tub with sundry bits and pieces that don't fit anywhere else and a windbreak.

The basket makes it very easy to exceed the 75Kg if I am not careful. Prog rock is cool! Smile
