I happen to support the best (proven) team in Sheffield Cool , I've even been known to sing along with the crowd, on the rare occasions that I show emotions. At work

Wales 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Sumatra Black

Used to was my car here in the last drought in Wales , circa 1969/70 all it took was a bucket some wellies and a sponge, no "fairy liquid " was allowed as someone had used some a week earlier and caused bubbles all down the Dee ...very hand it was too as the pub next to the "Ford" was good for the odd pint of lager and lime ....while waiting in the queue......

Northop
SJ243683 (1*) Suitable for All
Sent in by Ian Jolly (13/07/2005)

'It is on the old road from Northop to Mold which predates the building of the first turnpike in the late 1700's. Most of the route of that road has disappeared (it goes through footballer Michael Owen's garden - green circle - as he lives just over the road when he's at home in the UK!) It cross the Northop Brook.

The road that runs east to west just south of the ford (bypassing Northop) is the old A55 before the present dual carriageway bypass to the north of the village was opened in the early 1990's. The ford is about 6 inches deep and is a concrete trough with very steep sides - cars with long overhang might ground (note the signs of grounding in the close-up of the ford) - hence the 'Not suitable for vehicles' signs (Image 1). It barely shows up on the 50,000 map because it is in the village. But it is on a public road and is fully signposted both sides bilingually! Wales
Were the mud is thicker, and the ruts are deeper.
(And we have the water to wash it off, and more on the way..! )
