United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Zermatt Silver

Yep, still in hibernation, in fact i'm toying with the idea of selling it as it is sitting unused, and to date has been out for 20 minutes this year + a ride to the dealers to get a key coded. Problem is work v home , everybody want s a piece of me and something has to give and it has been my playtime. The other thing i've noticed is over the last 10 years car traffic has increased on every "fun road" drivers are more cocooned in their vehicles and have no bike awareness, and the double white line painting man has been on overtime, It's a 50/50 call at the moment 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Narvik Black

Don't do it! At the very least you can polish it occasionally and have a gloat over it Very Happy A real sod this work/life balance thing!

I know what you mean about the roads. it amazes me when I go to Italy or France just how much more bike aware the drivers are.....and how much more space there is!

I have the opposite problem. I am retired and have plenty of time to ride but I have not been on the bike since last October due to surgery on my leg which went wrong and had to be re-done. Hopefully will be back on the road next month. John

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Tonga Green

Must be honest - I have always wanted a motorbike Thumbs Up

In my youth my parents said "if you get a motorbike you move out" - couldn't afford to move out and get a bike.

In my later life just don't have the spare cash for the "DA driving course"

I'm 56 pushing 57 so my aim is to be redundant around my 58th birthday which should see me through to my works pension at 60, at one time it would have been a dream, but since my employer has been " americanised" it's only a matter of time before my " traditional approach" is seen as a hinderance and the kiddies with the " lean six sigma" approach rule the mad house, i'm not bitter about it it's just evolution and I sit in meetings now fantasising about a pay off then taking up fly fishing, walking the dog to the papershop, or getting a part time job taking money on the rowing boats in the park Laughing 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
