Gardx. Is it worth having.

I pick up my new (10 plate ) next Friday.
The dealer ( sturgess) offered me Gardx, I declined.

Is it worth having ?

It was done on mine as a freeby, haven't noticed anything different regarding the paintwork, don't think it is something that I would actually pay for.

My dealer wanted £199 to put some on, but I clean mine, maybe if you dont bother it might help a little bit, for a while.
Anyway I decided I could do a fair bit of polishing for that amount myself.

I was offered GardX and said no thanks. In the end they said I could have it free, which made me think it could not have cost them much to start with.

I have had both my Freelanders gardX'd. The first one I paid for albeit a reduced price and the last one was part of the sweetener to get the deal done. I like it, as much for the interior as the exterior and the silver case of goodies is excellent. Only my opinion, but I would go for it if you can get a good deal!

Makes the car look very shiny! I got mine also a sweetener but my dad decided to put it on himself. Got the stage 1 &2 bottles off that well known auction site for a tenner..... A few hours hard graft later and it was on Smile

Had Gardx on 2 of the wifes last 4 new cars , certainly seemed to work interiors especially.
when came time to px her cars the ones that had been done with Gardx looked better,
and was always asked by dealers if it had been done .

Does seem to effect trade in as well get a bit more(not a lot but a bit )

if you can get it done for free, all the better ,first couple of times it is hard work then it seems to get easier
my little man that can, does not seem to get too red faced(except when there is the two to do..!! Wales
Were the mud is thicker, and the ruts are deeper.
(And we have the water to wash it off, and more on the way..! )

I was considering the paint protection until I read the small print. Washed at least once a month and use their treatment to finish each time.

I work on the basis that the less I rub it the less the paint gets worn so me wash the car monthly? every month? pay for special treatments? Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Once every three-four months then I will spend 1/2 a day on it in and out. The leather bolsters are not a problem, waiting to see how the Dynamique Laughing behaves. Prog rock is cool! Smile

Reading their bumf on their web site, they almost promise the moon on a stick! It seems that they have invented a miracle fluid that does what no paint work systems designed and developed by leading manufacturers at the cost of millions and millions of pounds can do!

Amazing!

They also produce and equally amazing corrosion inhibitor that they are not sure how it works, but it really does, honest, and it may have lots of other applications for protecting steel structures too, but they aren't too sure yet.

I must rush out and get some without delay before the constant corrosive chemicals ever present all around my car dissolve it to moon dust and it gets blown away in the wind.

I will put it on my shopping list along with the elbow grease, sky hook, and fishfarts. I'm sure it will be better than the rocking horse poo I currently use, which, incidentally is very rare indeed but produces a wonderful shine with a slight pungency that becomes endearing with time.
