I am not sure that EGR blanking kits are available for the FL2 - only the FL1 in my experience and was a common problem. Eliminating the EGR valve usually resulted in more performance and mpg - pity we cant do the same for the FL2 Cheers,

It is a pig of a job to replace, unfortunately. As for blanking it off, there are no kits available as yet. Strathearn Engineering Specialising in all things Land Rover Group Buy - 2.2 TD4 Performance Re-maps! |

Looks like your gonna have to take it off and clean it. soot build up causes the moving parts to stick which will give incorrect readings hence fault codes.

If you don't fancy stripping it down you could try some 10K spray. Some people swear by it for cleaning out crap from the induction tract. John

The EGR stays closed at full throttle. Just hope it sticks there... Strathearn Engineering Specialising in all things Land Rover Group Buy - 2.2 TD4 Performance Re-maps! |

on an american forum they blame modern diesel fuel as the cetain level(that is how good the fuel burns is low) as i read it its like compairing the octaine level in petrol the higher it is the better it burns i think the same goes for the cetain level in diesel fuel the higher the better what would be interesting if any members out there are having egr problems what type of fuel are they using.low cetain levels can cause a stickey / tar deposits to build up in the valve but the question you need to ask is why are some l/rover engines affected and some not
