Hi Brossi and welcome; I've used ULR Malvern, who supplied the car, same model as yours, for all services and have been very pleased with their standards. The first service, 12000 kms, cost $302, but that was 3 years ago and the price may well have moved since then. Can't help with the reversing camera, although I believe you can get a wireless camera with a screen that clips on the rear view mirror from places such as Autobarn. Changing the radio can be problematic since the reversing sensors and steering wheel controls are difficult if not impossible to link up to different radios. There is a car audio specialist next door to ULR who might be able to help you.

Thanks for the info Graham, I have done a bit of research since the post, and found that Garmin have a GPS (Dezl 560) basic the same as the 1490 that comes with the FR, but has features for truckers and an AV input for a reverse camera. It can be switched to car mode which disables truck routes ect and allows it to operate as a normal GPS does, it is the same size as the 1490 and powers on and off with the ignition as well. I also found a camera that basically replaces one of the number plate light on the tailgate. The camera is designed specifically for the FR2, and fits into the spot where the number plate light goes as the original light would, but only half the unit is the light and the other half is the camera. I already bought both, but have not fitted them yet. I have wired them up to test them and they do work perfectly, the screen automatically switches to camera mode when the camera is powered up, and goes back to normal when power is switched off and the process is instant, I will power the camera to the reverse lights to preform the task automatically when put in reverse and off when in put into drive. I will post some pics when I am doing the install for anyone who is interested.

Appologies Simont, just relised your not in Australia, the same items are available pretty much anywhere in the world, the USA seems to be the cheapest but maps need to be purchased to suit. The camera is also available pretty much anywhere, just look on eBay. I just prefer to buy locally where possible. |

Was considering a double DIN unit with all the bits until I read this thread, my new 2nd hand FL2 HSE has the phone button, but no bluetooth module...

If the Garmin 560LT has a mini SD slot you can purchase the Topo 4wd SD card from Garmin, around the $225 mark - nearly as dear as the unit! If you do get one you need to go into the maps page in the settings menu to select Topo otherwise the unit defaults to the urban maps.

Thanks for the reply. After much stuffing around, have pretty much decided on the 560LT given the car mode can be switched on, and to have the option for a reverse cam later. The bonus for me on the system is having the integrated bluetooth (and a big hole in the dash to fit something in).
