Has it got a proper spare wheel, does the clutch slip in fifth and sixth gear (ie do a fast test drive), is there any oil at the back of the engine (easy fix but get it checked) is there any whine which could be the steering, does the handbrake work (they can seize up). If it's been off road the exhaust heat shields may be - mine are. |

the gimicky engine start/stop econmy thing wasnt working though - poss due to low battery. that will get sorted, but apart from that, everything worked fine and dealer will do a full service and tax for 12 months, plus top the warranty upto a full 12 months |

i would tend to agree with you, but its only a second car and probably wont do more than 5k miles per annum and unliekly to be used for towing.
