United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Izmir Blue

Not all problems will list a fault code but then landrover know this. Do they think that you have nothing better to do than complain ??? Very unlikly.
We pay all this money then things go wrong and they dont want to pay. I suspect yours is in a long line that has gone wrong but dont want to admit it. Perhaps theres a problem in the dvd unit. There must be an intermitant fault that could be temperature related on the pcb caused by a dry joint
If they cant find it then they should start the process of ilimination, start replacing parts untill they find the problem not just keep fobing you off. Its very unlikly the problem will go away.

totality unbelievable Shocked

The dealer has had my car in, after there technician took my car home over night, using the satnav and witnessed the faults its is doing, due to having no fault codes they have had to submit a TRO? to LR

They have been told they need to identify the part required, as LR will only pay for this part on warranty, so the only way of doing this is to use a donar part from a car of the same year Shocked Which they don't have in stock and i am now been told i have to wait till Joe Bloggs trades in his MY2010 FL2 with sat nav in X weeks so they can then borrow the parts from it, to get my satnav working as it should, then buy that part and put a new one in.

All this because LR wont allow parts to be returned once used, so they can buy and add the X amounts of parts to try and return Y parts for a refund, they have to sit of the garages parts shelf and they would have to pay for them themselves

They are also saying the satnav parts in a MY2010 are different to other newer or older MY years as the modules they replace my have been updated, so have a different part number

Censored Disgraceful expecting someone to wait to a car is in stock to they can butcher it Evil or Very Mad

It's bad as it may never happen Shocked you may have to live with this fault for the entirety of ownership but there is nothing you can do about it.

BTW, is a TRO a Temporary Restraining Order when you heard about it Whistle

Looked at Farnells, as the girl at LRCS was surprised they were having to wait for one to be traded in, and with Farnells having 3 dealerships, so i have logged on to their website and found 3 '09 FL2 HSE Auto with satnav, which maybe the same MY year as mine

I just hope Joe bloggs MY2010 isn't waiting on his new Evoque to be made, before he trades it in Laughing

turns out the car, they are going to be using as a donor is in early next week, and its a '07 plate Wink

so LRCS saying they change modules each MY, was total BS Rolling Eyes

they have also said they can only use the '07 and not the 2 '10 they have in stock, sounds to me like the sales manager is not willing to release his stock to be butchered and will only allow a newly traded in car that they will most likely send to auction IMO in stead of the forecourt

Probably some unsuspecting customer booked in for a service and told him it takes all day because we are so thorough Laughing Then they strip it down to try out on other cars with faults.

When I had a 'niggling' noise on mine they removed the entire exhaust system off a car in their showroom including cat and DPF to try on mine. Surprised I honestly don't know if they put it back or not Exclamation

Got the car back on Friday

They tried out and swapped the satnav module and it fixed the issue, said it was £1500 module they replaced Shocked

Well it's been working over the weekend, so fingers crossed Smile got updated software too, as mine had all the same buttons as the latest version of satnav
