If you don't need the sensors, don't LR sell blanking plates for the holes? |

I didn't think of that Mojo - I was actually thinking that I could just use one of the cheap sensor kits (around £15) and maybe even wire it in and use it. It might come in handy occasionally in some situations. Cheers,

Might be worth seeing if this kit is still available - no one bought it.

Yes, the front and rear parking sensors themselves are identical but If you have a MY2007 FL2 you will probably need to fit the dedicated wiring from your newly installed front parking sensors to the PDC ECU located behind the rear left load space large black trim panel, this runs from the tailgate to the side of the rear left seat. Also you will need to instal the wiring from that PDC ECU to the centre console switch array that holds the Hazards/Lock & Unlock Buttons and must include a Front PDC On/Off switch. To do this if you do not have that F PDC On/Off button you will need to obtain a new centre console switch array to control the front sensors. For Non Stop/Start FL2's the switch array part number is: LR029561. The good news is that I have a brand new one (i.e. never fitted - sent in error) and you could have from me for 1/2 price + p&p. PM me if interested. Additionally you will need a new PDC ECU as your current one will only be configured to handle just the rear sensors. Be very careful when ordering this as over the model years LR have change the specification of this part and with it the Part Number I was once quoted a part number for this by another site member but that particular part was not compliant with my model year. So when ordering this do quote your car's VIN and Model Year. After installing all your new kit you must have your FL2's CCF( Car Configuration File) re-mapped by a competent LR dealer or independent specialist. Your new installation will not work until you do. Should you not wish to go through this process I understand that you can buy blanking buttons for your new face-lifted front bumper from your LR dealer. Finally, Freel2 member "Dunroof" has posted a good guide to retro fitting the FPDC - here: http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic7743.html Note: having read that do not forget my remarks about the PDC ECU and the CCF |

Thanks for the info - it looks as though I may have to rethink and forget about plumbing into the existing pdc ecu - far too much trouble and no doubt quite expensive to get everything right.
