Mac Mini which word processor?

Just bought myself A mac mini

Configuration
2.5GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB, 500GB Serial ATA Drive with Lion OS

Only really need it for iTunes, photo storage and backing up iPhones and iPads, so just basic spec or there abouts

Wondering what would be the best word processor for it? For the occasional word/excell doc we need to do?

I have cloudOn on the iPad which I think has word/excell on but think there might be better option out there

My daughter (A level student) uses Open Office which is free. I suggested it to her and she is really happy with it. It is compatible with MS Word/Excel. Also, being free, nowt lost if you don't like it (that's what we Yorkshire folk like!). Thumbs Up

Nick,

I got my MacBook Pro 13 from an Apple Store last September and I get heavy use out of it for Uni studies, predominately Word and Powerpoint. I was going to buy Microsoft Office Home Edition 2011 from the shop but they wanted £99.

I got it from ebay for £50 on a buy it now so no faffing with bidding. Worth a look on there and also Amazon.

It's brilliant in my opinion and easy to use. I do a lot of footnote referencing for assignments and I have also used the template feature to create a leaflet on secondary liability and joint enterprise Very Happy zzzzzzz Laughing

Luxembourg 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Izmir Blue

Hello

MS Office is too cumbersome as is Open Office!!! (most people only use 20% of these word processors functions)
I do use Apple's Pages (get it from Appstore) It's a mixture of wordprocessing and DTP. (it's compatible with the iPhone/iPad version)

Or get Bean, it's free fast and useful for most tasks. Thumbs Up
