if any brand can go on the front/rear then i will go for goodyears, liked them on my first FL2

I had conti's on this car when I first bought it. They lasted 20k miles, whereas the Goodyears lasted 30k miles. I still could have got a bit more out of the wranglers, but they were getting noisy and starting to perish at the front. Tyres generaly have a life expectancy of around 3 years before they start to perish, so I guess the time was right to change. I've done about 300 miles on these new tyres and no sign of wear as of yet, so well impressed Laughing Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

i think i have only got 8K miles out of my front tyres, and will needing to change them shortly, one was changed not so long ago to a part worn one, but the shoulders turn to slicks on continentals

might look as swapping brands then

Mmmmm, noticed that also, the Wranglers stayed even all the way across but as you say, the shoulders do seem to wear on he Contis, just put mine back on after the winter, so made a point of putting the fronts on the rear, you can see that the edges are not making much contact with the Tarmac when solo at the moment.

Can you get the Wranglers in 19", if I didn't have a new set of Contis waiting in the shed, courtesy of the bay, only standing me £300 including postage I would be looking for alternatives Question

I don't drive it hard, lots of round abouts, inner estate driving turning round in roads etc, my tyre dealers blame it on power steering scrub and continentals lack of shoulder rubber

Laughing litle known fact that continental tyres bought on eBay with a undisclosed puncture repair are actually Australian and when you throw them back at the seller and get your money back, they will return back to you boomerang style Laughing
