Washer will work fine from a butt or tank, may not prime well, for best priming remove pressure pipe and run until pump starts to draw then re attach pressure pipe, of fill the suction pipe with a jug.

when our water pressure was crap our farm power washer ran much better from a tank. I still use the tank with detergent in the water, then attach to tap for rinsing.

if water isnt clean get a foot strainer , some have one way valves to prevent loss of prime, however the valve can restrict flow so I take them out, foot strainers often also have a weight in them to keep the hose from floating out.

here is a cheapo one

I have been using Greased lightning for over a year now, absolutely no swirls on the paintwork whatsoever. just a great shine I also use it on my caravan, which has a much less dense paint finish and shows any imperfections much more quickly. Very pleased there as well, also it builds up a layer of protection, which makes it much easier to keep clean. I have no connection with any product, just my personal experience FL2 HSE Sumatra black with body kit

After a top recommendation from the guy I sold my G4 Disco to, I'm trying this. Like others, very nervous so get the worst off first. I have used it on dusty panels without any swirls so seems to be OK. Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red

Nick, it's the Mutts on the van, been using it for a year now, wouldn't do the Freely with it but brings the van up well, the black streaks just wipe off, ok on the windows. Saves getting the hose and bucket out and quicker. Thumbs Up

One thing it does bring up well is the porous plastic frames around the side locker doors, cleans them with just a wipe.

Got myself a bottle of greased lightening Showroom shine, whilst at the caravan yesterday I got my bottle out and a Microfibre

Gave the bottle a good shake to mix it up and sprayed it on the 'van, wiped over and stood back and thought Censored me that was easy, don't know if it was the GTechniq c1.5 based layer or the GLSS but black streak was no more

Just need to do the rest of the van now Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It's good stuff Nick, you can get half the van done before you've got out the Hose, Bucket, Step Ladder, brush, Mitt etc no tripping over the hose, water running down your arm, surprised it to you so long to find out about it.
Just spray on, wipe off and Buff. Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Baltic Blue

Having read this thread over the weekend, AND seen it advertised on Real Living on Sunday afternoon, I thought that I would give it a whirl this afternoon.

My local Motor Factors were offering 1 litre of it and 2 Microfibre cloths for the princely sum of 」15.49, which is cheaper than anywhere else including online so I set to work with it this afternoon.

Now I don't care what the videos say, nor other 'reviewers' online or on TV, there is no way in a million years I would apply anything to dirty paint without having washed it first, so I did using my usual AG Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo. Once dried, my initial impressions were that it smelled good, went on easily enough, came off quite well too. The downside as previously mentioned is that the spray pattern is too wide, and the damn stuff goes everywhere, so it needs to be decanted into something else with a more acute spray. That said, it left reasonable results as can be seen below:

As an all-in-one, not a bad effort for about an hours work, and perversely I am looking forward to the bad weather that's been forecast for the weekend, if only to see the beading quality of he Caranuba properties. Would I buy it again? Probably not, as I have had similar results using AG Rapid Detailer in the past, and that comes in at half the price.

One thing to be aware of is that if you get it into the honeycombed grilles at the front or sides, it is a real ball ache to wipe out (I ended up using a cotton earbud), and do NOT apply it to the LR Sidesteps, as it leaves a chalky film on them (easily removed with AG Fast Glass)
Overall, I'd give it 7/10....hope that helps you all reach an informed decision.
