Australia 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Lago Grey

Those guys actually make Kedron caravans over here. If you take a normal caravan onto some of our dirt roads, the corrugations literally shake the thing to pieces. If you want to tour the centre then a lot of the roads are dirt. The Gall Boys make the videos to demonstrate the beating that their caravans can survive. The brand is very well regarded for it's solid construction.
As with most vans out here, an FL2 wouldn't be legal to tow it. The majority of vans require a tug for 3-3.5 tonne which means a Landcruiser, Patrol or similar. We do a lot of free camping in vans because there are places to camp everywhere. Retired travellers called grey nomads can be on the road for months at a time rarely staying in van parks.
