I haven't tried the spray but when I had a similar experience on my old FL1 the EGR valve was absolutely caked in the stuff and I doubt that any kind of spray would have touched it - I had to resort to scooping it out with a spoon!

sorry I should have said my other car is a focus (I need the mpg for work ) As most people on this forum seem to have a lot of experience of all kinds of things I just kind of hoped some one may have used it |

How accessible are the egr valves? Might have a look at mine to see if they need cleaning |

There is a product called 10k which I know a lot of people used and swore by. Basically you removed the air pipe to the turbo and sprayed the stuff straight into the turbo with the engine running. By all accounts it removed all kinds of muck from the engine and blew it out the exhaust. I seem to remember that LRO reviewed it once with positive outcomes.
