also a dealer is not tied to a particular brand as long as the specification is correct.
Ring your dealer and ask them Idea

All I know is that my engine seems a lot quieter since its Duckworths service last month, where I supplied the Castrol Magnatec 5w-30 A1. It was previously serviced by St***stones Stockton - oil not known. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Most dealers do not seem to grasp that models with DPF require a different specification of oil compared to non-DPF models. Anyone driving a DPF model needs to beware and check they have used the correct spec. It seems they just continue to use oil from the bulk tank in the corner!

DPF Models require an oil that meets ACEA C1 Standard 5W-30.

Castrol Magnatec is not available in C1 but Castrol Magnatec Professional is but is only readily available through Dealers. Opie Oils do sell other brands that meet the C1 standard.

Marshalls in Bedford have prominent signs in the Service Dept explaining which oils they use (and yes, they do use a different one for DPF models).
