Here (just published) is a comparison video illustrating the difference between 3 4WD's on a (slightly) slippery hill. Although in Norwegian the video should be internationally understandable. The reviewer is rather critical to BMW's X-drive system compaired to Audi & RR Haldex 5-system but praises the better RR's TR electronics.

Because the X1 is an extreamly popular and good seller here and at long last one Norwegian journo put his job on the line and tells everybody they are in fact a crap 4x4 - 1 up for Land Rover - ooops sorry Range Rover. Unless they had previously covered the slope with Vaseline, I'd have expected them to all climb that hill with ease. It really does say something about the X1 and to a lesser extend the Audi, that they were humiliated by it |
