Easy, get a collie and train it to sit in the boot! No guard needed Wink

alternatively, get it to lie down and puit a cargo net over the top fastened to the four anchor points Whistle

After all the divider is more to keep the animal at the back in the case of a collision. Thumbs Up

and the metal crate to to protect the animal if in a collision from behind (boot is the crumple zone) Thumbs Up 2002 Honda VFR800

How about curling the dog up in the spare wheel well ! with the lid down it would stop it sliding about ! & no risk of getting his paws trapped in the tailgate ! Thumbs Up

That's an impressive amount of faith in a light wire cage! It is, however, very handy for being able to leave the tailgate open when the weather's hot and it's a sure way of keeping the dog in the car at the scene of an accident should the windows be smashed, but I'd be more concerned about not being able to get the dog out in the case of fire Sad

That's a brace bar, linking the two rear suspension turrets together. Ben really got the hang of jumping in the boot, diving straight under the bar, turning around and sitting up ready for some action! Very Happy

Good to see a pic of your dog!

I can comfim that Tiggers' dog is as good as gold and loves riding in the car. Travels with him everywhere. How Tigger got a collie to stop jumping around in the rear of his car remains a mystery to me Bow down Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
