Silly question but are the sensors clean????????????? Have you turned on the ignition select reverse and walked arround the car to see if they bleep, you can get some one to pass their hand near each one to check if any are working. |

.......I have a similar issue, none of the sensors are active. I presume the sensor/ECU/loom replacement means bumper removal? how difficult an exercise is it for the non-technically gifted? anyone ever posted a "how to"? Would be interested in your kit if it is still for sale. |

Fairly straightforward. Tools needed are No 2 Pozi Screwdriver, T30 Torx, T25 Torx, small flat terminal driver.

Hi Mark, Have you had any luck getting parking sensors working? I have the same dry weather problem, single bleep when start engine, 6 flashes on park button when go into reverse or press button in drive (mine has auto gearbox), but then no noise from sensors when park close to anything. This is not the water problem when get continuous bleep even when nothing where near sensors and then OK when dry out. George |

Hi, just thought I'd give an update on my problem. I went to my local independent garage and they plugged in their computer, which indicated one of the front middle sensors (drivers side) was faulty. Replaced sensor and all now working OK, until it rains. The new sensor is a plain black one not colour coded in blue paint, might leave unpainted as expensive to repare (£200) - will paint affect sensor life? I hope the other sensors don't go faulty, as not cheap since access difficult (front bumper off). Old sensor looks OK with no sign of damage or corrosion, should they last longer than 5 years?
