Shiny Wheels

Just cleaned all my wheels, sorry detailed Rolling Eyes and staggered at how the Werkstat Acrylic Jett made the flakes appear, the photo doesn't do them justice, jpeg compression loses detail.

Question..what should I use to clean the tyres, might as well make a proper job, some cleaners seem to leave the tyres very shiny and plastic looking, I dont want that.

a scrubbing brush and a all purpose cleaner, then when dry put on a coat of tyre shine, various brands available

Nip to halford and choose meguiers or autoglym etc

Unless you clean the tyre, they will just fade quickly, appliy sparingly as you dont want it to sling off on to your car

That's the stuff I used, found it lasted until the tyre got wet, unless you put it on a well scrubbed tyre, nice and thin or it slung it's self over the bodywork

Meguiars Endurance Tyre Dressing Gel Thumbs Up but its a case of less is more, do not be tempted to apply loads (like i did first time round) as Nick says it splatters everywhere. I go round each tyre with an old cloth, after its been on a while, this helps remove any excess and dulls the shine a little

Got some Wynns tyre shine, a spray on foam, easy to use, we will see how it fairs, it was £3.50 so not a fortune.
